Join us as we celebrate International Networking week with a session on networking in a virtual landscape. In this session we will cover:

  • Preparing yourself for a virtual meeting
  • Creating a first impression online
    • Tips on Room Set up, lighting, camera
  • Tips on creating conversation & meaningful relationships
    • Asking open ended questions
    • Creating conversation & not selling
    • Learning about each other & ow to respond to questions

We will provide some time to practice your networking in breakout sessions so be sure to take notes!

About your facilitators:

Aanand Mehta is the Managing Area Director for BNI Alberta North. He has been a member of BNI for 9 years and a part of the regional management team for the past 3 years where he works with Albertan entrepreneurs and professionals to build a culture of proactive and reciprocal business relationships. In 2018 he was recognized as Director of the year and in 2019 was awarded the honor of the Givers Gain Award.

Before his role at BNI, Aanand co-founded Output – a company focused on improving the efficiencies of trades companies through new technology. Aanand is a volunteer with the Christopher Leadership Courses of Canada instructing classes on effective public speaking & community leadership. In his spare time you can find him tinkering with his cars out
at a local race track!

Neville Ward was first self-employed at age 19 when he opened a franchised coffee shop with his older brother. After 10 years in the coffee world he realized building the restaurants was more interesting than operating them. He had been honing his skills while renovating and flipping his own homes, so he decided to move to Alberta to start a home
renovation business.

His company, Caruana Interiors and Contracting, has been recognized
by T8N magazine as the “Best Local Contractor” in St. Albert for the last 5 years. He has lived in St. Albert for the last 14 years with his wife Amy.

He is also a Sr. Director Consultant at BNI Alberta. He has been involved as a member and Director Consultant for 8 years, helping to support chapters, members, and leadership teams. He was recognized with BNI Alberta North’s top honour earlier in 2020 with the “Givers Gain Award”. He has also received the Director of the Year award in 2017, and has twice been a feature presenter at BNI Canada’s national

Neville and Amy enjoy getting away several times a year, usually on a cruise, although it might be a while before his next one! His burning desire is to visit all seven continents – only 4 more to go!
