Join us as we chat with entrepreneurs in Grande Prairie about how they have weathered through the pandemic and adapted their business through the shut down and re-launch in stage 2.


Grant Berg, Grant Berg Gallery

Grant Berg is an artist and small business owner of two art galleries in Alberta. The gallery in Grande Prairie opened 4.5 years ago, representing over 50 artists and Kananaskis now open 3.5 years representing 10 artists. Originally in the broadcast industry for 29 years, Grant transitioned into the arts full time in 2016 after being the Board Chair for the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie during its construction and sitting on the Premier’s Council for Culture under four Alberta Premier’s. Grant recently ran in the 2019 provincial election and is set to launch a series of three self published books this November.


Danielle Cherewyk, The Headroom

Passion has been the fuel behind Danielle’s career. Born and raised in the salon industry by her mother, Karen Lefley, Danielle has always aspired to open her own salon. Her vision for The Headroom was to create an exciting atmosphere that still allowed for relaxation; a place where both clients and staff would feel comfortable. Danielle’s knowledge for the art of hairstyling and dedication to her career shines throughout The Headroom and is known to her team and clientele alike.








Chris Clements, Oliver’s Funeral Home

Chris Clements was born and raised in Grande Prairie, he has been married to his wife Colleen for 20 years and they have 3 kids.   He is the managing Partner at Oliver’s Funeral Home and Peace Funerals Inc.  Before working in the funeral profession he pastored at a Church for 12 years in Grande Prairie. This experience was very helpful in transitioning to Oliver’s, bringing with him counseling experience and the desire to help people.  He started with one Funeral Home and now oversees four Funeral Homes in the peace region.


Teresa Himschoot, ATB Financial

Teresa loves making new connections, she is driven by the passion of her clients and enjoys celebrating their successes. Listening comes first when hearing new business ideas, plans for execution and personal objectives. Teresa provides banking solutions that are created for her clients and loves to see everything come together.
