John Evans
John has been a theatre performer, designer, technician and creator for most of his life. He and his wife Kat own and operate a small production company called The October People Productions that specializes in practical special effects and horror effects for stage and film. They also provide sound/video editing, makeup, costume, props/weapons and set design, custom creation and rentals.They moonlight from their day jobs as escape room designers for Escape City Edmonton and Saskatoon.
For his day job, John has been with ATB for 17 years, assisting clients with all their personal banking needs such as accounts, investments, loans, and mortgages. 2 years ago he transitioned to the Branch for Arts + Culture, which encompasses both personal and business banking as well as interim project financing, and he couldn’t be happier as now he gets to help his beloved arts community specifically to achieve their goals and answer their questions. He strives to knock down the stigmas that banks don’t “get” or appreciate artists, by creating a safe and supportive environment for his clients and bridging the gap between the worlds of art and finance.
