During this workshop, Sean will walk through a brief history of why we work (and worked) the way we do, what macro-factors have changed and are changing, that have lead to a seismic disruption in the way people work today and will continue to in the future. It will touch on why working remotely will continue to be the trend and how Calgary can win in the market. Lastly, he will focus on what factors are important to remember when working individually or remotely, while continuing to grow professionally, socially and personally.

About the Speaker:
Hailing from Ottawa originally, Sean Coates is a recent Calgary transplant from Toronto. With an MBA in the management of Technology and Innovation and having spent the last decade working in the Toronto Startup scene, Sean has helped scale companies, build market places and focus on growing the overall innovation community in Canada. The last 4 years have been specifically involved with the coworking community and how it is becoming an increasingly important piece of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
