This months edition of Open Mic will cover Lane Anderson’s leanings from running social media for PokerStars for years, when he turned his attention to small business marketing.

Some of what he knew about how to market this large, multinational brand was very effective when applied to small business, and other things were not effective at all. This session will detail how small business marketing is different than marketing large enterprises, which tactics are most effective, and the value of competence and consistency over creativity.

Lane Anderson is the Founder & CEO of London Road Marketing, a full-service marketing firm based in Lethbridge for Canadian small businesses. He graduated with an English degree from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2014, and has been named one of Lethbridge’s Top 40 Under 40. After creating the marketing firm in 2016, the company has been nominated for Celebrate Downtown and Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year awards, and was the honourable mention for Best Social Media Agency at the 2019 Hashtag Awards at Canada’s largest digital marketing conference, SocialWest. Their client, Italian Table, also won last year’s “Best Creative Marketing Strategy” award at the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards. Lane also writes marketing articles, creates videos, and is known as a leading marketer, instructor, advisor, public speaker, and community builder.
