Boards are powerful tools for companies and not-for-profits when used effectively. Though many people don’t understand the impact Good Governance can have on a business or organization. Come learn the basics of what a Board is and how this Governance body can help grow your business, while learning the successes and pitfalls of local and international case studies you will recognize.
About your Facilitator:
Rebecca Finley-Schindlowsky, Finley & Associates Management Consultants
Rebecca began her career in real estate development before becoming a management consultant. She is a strong communicator and relationship facilitator who can quickly build rapport and bring people together to achieve common objectives. Her strength lies in translating ideas and concepts into graphical representations and storyboards. Rebecca is a strong presenter and motivator.
Experience highlights include working with: Alberta Ballet, multiple Departments and Faculties of the University of Calgary; multiple Boards & Commissions in Alberta Agriculture; The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra; Alpha House; Calgary Reads; as well as numerous high-net worth family businesses across Canada. Rebecca is a regular speaker at the ATB Entrepreneur Centre in Calgary and was also a speaker at the 2016 International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect after leading a full-day retreat for at-risk youth.
Rebecca is Board Chair of the Next Gen Men Board, a national non-profit organization that is focused on building better men through youth and peer engagement, education, and empowerment. Rebecca is a co-founder of Connections: Mentorship Circle, a national group that brings women of all stages of their career together to empower and support them in a positive environment through discussion, mentorship, and skills-building.
Outside of work, you can find Rebecca training for her next Latin Ballroom competition or traveling the world.
