About Donnie & Elaine
Donnie and Elaine Lysons are the new owners of Lacombe Auto Service Centre Ltd, previously known as 2A Auto Service. They acquired the business in March of 2018 and rapidly evolved the operating practices to more modern systems and procedures. This move caught the attention of CARS magazine who awarded them Canada’s Shop of the Year for their proactive and progressive shop management style. Lacombe residents also voted them BEST in LACOMBE for both Auto Repair and Oil and Lube Service in the Lacombe Express. Finally, this year they have also been nominated for the Lacombe Chamber of Commerce People Choice Award in Customer Service.
Donnie and Elaine’s entrepreneurship journey started in their early 20’s and they are excited to share their stories from that journey and how it has shaped them in business today. Their mixed background in farming, ranching, venture capital, house flipping, contracting for the provincial government and franchise ownership has provided them many lessons and success that they will recall on during this fireside chat. As mentors and business owners, they definitely don’t like to sit still for too long.
They have lived in Central Alberta since 1996 and raised their family here. You may have seen them around the local curling clubs and golf courses. They currently reside in the Morningside area.
