Breaking into Data Science – The How’s and Why’s
Tuesday, February 11 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
ATB Entrepreneur Centre, Edmonton
Over the past few years we have seen and heard a lot about the use of machine learning and data science. Now more than ever, organizations of all sizes from startups to large scale corporations are looking at ways they can benefit by applying these technologies to their data. However, the reality is that as your business dives into these areas you may be left with more questions than answers. Are we data ready? Who do I need to add to my team? How do you apply it? How does it work? How do I measure success? How do I get started?
In this session we will provide you with an introductory overview into data science, talk about how you can apply it into your area of expertise, share resources that you can leverage and discuss with you about what you may need to start doing data science. We will share Alberta success stories to provide you with insight on how to prepare as you embark on your own data science journey.
